Experience authentic Latin flavors prepared with heart, history, and a touch of creativity.
Fresh, handmade, and full of soul — this is El Limoncito Verde.
At the heart of El Limoncito Verde lies a story of love, tradition, and two dreamers who came to this country with a mission: to share with the world the richness of their Hispanic roots through food.
Chef Jesús and Daxi De La Torre come from humble origins, where cooking was not only about feeding but about bringing families together, celebrating culture, and passing down stories from generation to generation.
From a young age, he arrived in Chicago full of dreams and hope. Inspired by his grandmother, María Sánchez, who turned her kitchen into a family sanctuary, Jesús worked for more than 30 years in the culinary industry — from fast food restaurants to prestigious fine dining venues with over 300 daily reservations, including hotels, country clubs, caterings, and restaurants.
Born in Barinas, Venezuela, Daxi grew up surrounded by tropical aromas and the talent of her grandmother Dominga Valero, a natural-born baker. Her yard was filled with banana, lime, tangerine, and passion fruit trees — and lemon was always the star ingredient. Her Key Lime Pie and lemon desserts were legendary.
After her grandmother passed away in 2005, Daxi stepped away from cooking until she met Chef Jesús, who reignited her inspiration. Together, they found a shared purpose — to create something unique.

Authentic, handmade dishes prepared daily with care and the best ingredients. Each bite reflects the passion and creativity of our Latin roots.
El Limoncito Verde is a tribute to Grandma Dominga and all those wise and humble grandmothers who made so much out of so little — always with love.
From this legacy, a new concept was born: fine dining quality, fair prices, and the vibrant energy of a food truck.
